Mustache tape works good and will hold but using the spirit gum is so must better than the bulky tape. I still give the tape 5 stars because I have use the tape many times before but its not what I like.

The tape did not have a split in the middle on one side. it was very difficult to get the backing off the tape once it was on the mustache. not a pleasant experience.

When playing multiple roles on stage the facial hair needs to be removed for different characters. The tape could not be reused and did not stick well with makeup and sweat.

The mustache tape is probably OK for a brief period, but after a vigorous (read "sweaty") performance, it just doesn't adhere to the face reliably. Also, the backing is hard to remove from the tape once the tape is attached to the mustache because there's no easily found "grab point." Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations for the tape's performance, but I could have just as easily used some (less expensive) double-sided Scotch tape for that level of "stickiness," and the Scotch tape would have been easier to dispense and apply. Now I'm feeling a bit of buyer's remorse for having sprung for extra sticky tape. I've already decided to go with spirit gum for attaching the mustache for future performances.

After much debate on what to wear for Comic Con this year (I vacillated between investing in a high-end Star Wars costume, the Bandersnatch from Alice in Wonderland, etc), I at last decided to go as a Victorian Doctor and purchased an ENTIRE outfit along with many accessories, all at the VERY last minute, from Historical Emporium. Everything I ordered was in stock (Woot!) and I upgraded the shipping to Next Day Air based on my indecisiveness and my waiting to order 3 days before Comic Con. I placed my order on Sunday night. My order arrived Tuesday! EVERYTHING I ordered was perfectly amazing and of high quality! I was (am!) blown away! AND, to top it all off, Historical Emporium refunded my Next Day Air Shipping ($63!) because I live in Southern California, which is within their 1 day ground shipping zone already. What? Who does that? Holy moly - what a great company, what outstanding service and what amazing products! I'd write more but Comic Con starts in 24 hours and I've got to get ready!

Some of these were fantastic, some were good for one or two uses. This pack and those that came with the two mustaches I ordered got me through a two week run. The first ones I used lasted the first week and seemed to get stickier with age. I noticed after each show that I had an invisible glue mustache on my face when I went to wash off stage make-up. Still, these were better than other strips other actors had used in the show.

Tape is easy to use and reasonable to get off. It did its job and kept the mustache on throughout the performance.
