Operations Curtailed due to COVID-19
Last Updated: April 9, 2020
Historical Emporium is based in San Jose, California, and we are under a state-wide health emergency due to the COVID-19 / Coronavirus infection.
Santa Clara County has recently clarified its list of essential businesses which are expected to remain open. As a business which ships directly to consumers, we are included in Santa Clara County's list of essential businesses. Thus, we are continuing to operate during the Coronavirus emergency on a very limited basis.
During this period of limited operations:
We are accepting new customer orders
We can accept and process customer returns
We have reduced our on-site staff to just three people (from the usual twelve)
We are temporarily discontinuing expedited shipping modes
For our staff who are on site during this time, we are adhering to strict physical distancing rules, and frequently cleaning workspaces and equipment to ensure that we are not exposing ourselves nor our customers to any risk of coronavirus infection.
This curtailment of our operations is for the health of our staff and community, and we support the efforts of the Health Department to help minimize the impact of this disease. Unfortunately, we know that this will also impact our customers who may be depending on us, and for that we are truly sorry.
We are absolutely still in business, just temporarily reduced due to the nationwide health emergency. We appreciate your patience during this difficult time.
We hope you are safe and healthy wherever you are, and we look forward to serving you again soon.
During this time, we will have limited access to phone and email, but will be able to respond to email inquiries. If you have a question, please
contact us and we'll do our best to answer you as we can.
